The Andes Risk Story
Helen Yang, CFA, founded Andes Risk (a DBA of Andes Wealth Technologies) to address a significant challenge in the wealth management industry: financial advisors didn’t have the right tools to talk about all aspects of risk, especially the investor’s behavioral risk.
Through the Andes Risk Platform, Yang and the team are realizing their mission of empowering financial advisors to disrupt traditional, cookie-cutter services and provide a more meaningful, enjoyable wealth management experience for their clients.
Inspired by Dr. Andrew Lo from MIT and his Adaptive Markets Theory, the Andes Risk Platform offers best-of-breed solutions in risk tolerance assessment, behavioral finance, deep analytics and the Investment Policy Statement. Together, they form an integrated client onboarding and communication platform.

Meet the Andes Risk Team
A winner of the prestigious Harry Markowitz Award, Helen Yang, CFA, is the founder and CEO of Andes Risk. Yang has 24 years in FinTech and holds an MBA from MIT. Prior to founding Andes Risk, she held leadership positions at Thomson Reuters and Charles River Development, a State Street company.
Yang is widely recognized as a thought leader, with publications in the Journal of Investment Management, Advisor Perspectives and ThinkAdvisor. She has received the 2024 Family Wealth Report Women in WealthTech Award, 2024 Wealth Solution Report Pathfinder Award, 2023 WealthTech Americas Women in WealthTech Award, and 2022 Investment News Women to Watch Award.
Yang volunteers extensively, currently serving on the board of the Lexington Lions Club and several community organizations. She also enjoys hiking, yoga, listening to audiobooks and spending time with family and friends.
